I created this design on 17 March 2021, after our beloved budgie, Pasacik, passed away.
It has two versions. The one on the right, the memorial, is the collection of four birds drinking water from a container.
The second version is a frame, one of the best ways to remember our beloved ones. I don't have a printed photo of Pasacik for now.
I didn't think I would find a design so quickly. I had half finished flowers at hand. They were claimed, so I was waiting to make something further with them.
And I could...
How to fold the Pasacik memorial
Step 1
Fold a windmill base.
Step 2
Fold all the corners in the middle up and make creases on the half.
Fold the outer corners in the middle of the crease.
Squash fold all of them. This is basically the Kilyos base.
Turn the model over and fold the squash folded corners to the back.
Turn the model over again and hold one corner up.
Fold it like a crane.
Repeat four more times.
Fold the corners in the middle up. Here comes the color change.
Repeat four more times.
Fold all the upper corners in half.
Pinch one corner like a beak.
Repeat three more times.
Step 14
Push the beaks down. If your paper doesn't let them stay down, you can fold the outer corners a little.
How to make the Pasacik frame
Fold the first 13 steps.
Step 14
Fold the beaks to the right (or to the left).
Step 15
Tuck the folded beak to the pocket next to it.
Repeat it three more times. And the frame is ready.
