My Thirty-Third Design: Samatya Ornament and Bowl

I designed Samatya on 3 April 2021. It's familiar but it has some different features, like additional triangles and a more 3D look.

How to fold Samatya Ornament

Step 1

Fold a windmill base.

Step 2

Fold the middle corners up.

Step 3

Unfold and fold the middle corners half to the crease.

Step 4

Unfold and fold the upper corners to the last crease. Then squash fold them.

Step 5

Fold the middle corners up.

Step 6

Fold the side corners behind.

Step 7

Repeat on all steps. 

Step 8

Fold the middle corners up. The ornament is ready.

Step 9

If you want a more 3D look, you can add the fold shown below.

Step 10

Repeat for all of them.

Step 11

If you want to make a bowl, push the sides as shown.

Step 12

Repeat on all sides.

The bowl is ready.
