My Thirty-Fourth Design: Laleli Heart Ornament

I designed Laleli on 3 May 2021. 

Laleli is a neigborhood in Istanbul, which means "with tulips" or "tulip garden".

How to fold Laleli heart ornament

Step 1

Fold a windmill base.

Step 2

Fold the middle corners up.

Step 3

Unfold and fold the middle corners to the crease.

Step 4

Unfold and fold the upper corners to the last crease. Then squash fold them.

Step 5

Fold the flaps to the half as shown.

Step 6

Repeat on all flaps.

Step 7

Fold the tips inside a little to get a heart-like look.

Step 8

Repeat for all related tips. The ornament is ready.

Step 9

If you like a more 3D look, you can add folds as shown.

Step 10

If you like, you can give a rounder look by folding the corners as shown.

Step 11

Repeat on all corners.

The second version is also ready.
