My Thirty-Seventh Design: Heybeli Froebel Variation

 

I created this design on 6 May 2021. It has two variations. You can fold it with thicker paper.

Heybeli is one of the Princes' Islands. It means something like "town center".

How to fold Heybeli Froebel Variation

Step 1

Fold a windmill base.

Step 2

Fold the corners half to the top.

Step 3

Unfold and fold the middle corners to the crease.

Step 4

Unfold and fold the upper corners to the last crease.

Step 5

Squash fold the corners.

Step 6

Fold one corner up. But don't fold the sides.

Step 7

Fold all the corners up.

Step 8

Fold the middle corners up to point a little higher than the middle corners.

Step 9

Repeat for all the corners.

Step 10

Pull up the petals up and give it a flower-like shape. First variation is ready.

Step 11

Fold the half of one petal to the back. Don't fold the sides.

Step 12

Repeat on all petals.
