My Forty-Sixth Design: Oval Froebel Variation 1

 I created my first oval variation on 5 June 2021 on the beach. Then I went on creating oval variations.

I don't see oval shapes in origami. So, these are different. However, they are only units for now. I'll see what I can make of them.

How to fold Oval Froebel Variation 1

Step 1

Fold a windmill base.

Step 2

Fold to opposite corner to half of the middle corner.

Step 3

Fold the opposite corners to one forth of the middle corner.

Step 4

Squash fold all the corners.

Step 5

Fold the two sides of the thicker parts back.

Step 6

Fold the thinner corner to the back, too. This time you'll fold twice to the back.

Step 7

After you fold all of them, the unit will look like this.

Step 8

Turn the model over and fold the squashed parts back.

Step 9

Turn the model over again. And it is ready.
