My Twenty-Second Design: Gulcemal Rose Bowl

I created Gulcemal Rose Bowl on 2 April 2021.

It has two versions, one with a wider opening. You can use it as a bowl or a flower pot.

Cemal is my father's name. Gulcemal means "rose face, face like a rose". 

How to fold Gulcemal Rose Bowl

Step 1

Prepare a pentagonal paper.

Step 2

Fold it like the bird base.

Step 3

Bring the bottom corner to the imaginary line between two side corners.

Step 4

Unfold and fold the bottom corner up to the crease.

Step 5

Unfold and mark the pentagon in the middle.

Step 6

Follow the side of the smaller pentagon and fold to the corner of the bigger pentagon.

Step 7

Repeat four more times.

Step 8

Carry one crease to the next one and fold.

Step 9

Repeat four more times.

The bottom should look like this.

The upper part should look like this.

Step 10

Normally the flaps are on the same level with the bottom. Pull the flap a little down.

Step 11

Fold the new part to the back of the next flap.

Step 12

Repeat Step 10-11 four more times.

The rose bowl is ready.
