My Seventy-Sixth Design: Hüsnüzan Wreath

I created this design on 22 August 2021 on the sole purpose of drawing its diagram. I love its flower-like shape and strong locks.

Hüsnüzan means "good thoughts" or more specifically "having good thoughts about someone else" in old Turkish.

How to fold the Hüsnüzan Wreath

Step 1

Fold the halves.

Step 2

Fold the diagonals.

Step 3

Fold the bird base.

Step 4

Fold the sides into the middle.

Step 5

Turn the paper and repeat the previous step.

Step 6

Turn the paper and fold the bottom corner to the imaginary line between the triangles.

Step 7

Squash fold the corner.

Step 8

Fold all side flaps inside.

Step 9

Fold the right side corner as shown.

Step 10

Fold the part just below as shown.

Step 11

Turn the paper over and this time, fold the left part as shown.

Step 12

Fold the part just below up as shown.

Step 13

Here comes the assembly. Place to units as shown.

Fold the flaps as shown.

Then, fold the same part one more as shown. This will secure the locks.
