My Ninety-Second Design: Vefa Flower

I created this flower on 18 February 2022.

Vefa is a historical neighborhood in Istanbul, which is famous for its fermented millet drink. It also means "fidelity, loyalty" in Turkish.

How to fold the Vefa Flower

Step 1

Fold a windmill base.

Step 2

Fold the corners in half, unfold, and fold in half again.

Step 3

Sink fold all the corners.

Step 4

Turn the figure over and fold the sides to the middle as shown.

Step 5

Bring the flaps to the middle but with twisting to a side you choose.

Step 6

The back should look like that. If not, try again.

Step 7

Fold the tip of one flap to the middle. 

Step 8

Fold the rest of the half to the back of the flap.

Step 9

Repeat on all sides.

Step 10

Turn the figure over and bring one pointy flap to the back and tuck into the pocket.

Step 11

Repeat on all sides.

Step 11 

Open the middle parts to give it a realistic look. Don't fold the tips. Leave them round.
