I created the Karakoy Flower on 11 December 2021. It is a couple steps more of the Galata Flower. So, I gave it the name Karakoy, which is very close to Galata.
How to fold the Karakoy Flower
Step 1
Fold a windmill base.
Step 2
Fold the corners to the halves.
Step 3
Sink fold all the corners.
Step 4
Bring all the sink folded corners to the back. This is almost the Galata flower.
Step 5
Fold petals up and fold the sides to the middle.
Step 6
Repeat on all petals.
Step 7
Bring the little corners to the middle. If you follow these steps your petals will be open. If you first fold the corners in and then open up the petals, the flower will be more closed.
Step 8
Tuck the free flaps inside the pockets so that the petals are locked.
Step 9
Repeat on all flaps.
Step 10
You can use a 1/4 square, fold a windmill base, sink it and place it in the middle. You can also join the flowers with a smaller windmillbase.
