I created this design on 8 August 2021. Gökçeada is one of the two Turkish islands in Aegean sea and it's famous for its strong winds, and windmills accordingly.
While folding the photo tutorial, I realized that the direction matters. If you like to attach the units to each other, they should point the same direction.
How to fold the Gökçeada Windmill Flower
Step 1
Fold the paper in halves.
Step 2
Turn the paper over and fold the diagonals.
Fold the flower base.
Fold the closed corner in half.
Unfold and open the paper to see the square.
Squash fold as shown.
First, fold to one side.
And then fold the other side up.
Fold the triangles back.
Here is the look on the back.Open up one part as shown below.
Repeat three more times.
Now open up the flaps as shown below.
Repeat three more times.
Open up the petals in the middle. The unit is ready.
