My Eightieth Design: Autumn Flower

I created this design on 14 September 2021. It can have open or closed petals and you can assemble two of them like a Febregé Egg.

How to fold the Autumn Flower 

Step 1

Fold 3x3 grids.

Step 2

Fold the paper in half on both sides.

Step 3

Turn the paper over and fold the diagonals.

Step 4

Fold a waterbomb base.

Step 5

Fold the bottom corner to the one forth of the top line.

Step 6

Make a sink fold.

Step 7

Fold the flaps inside from the existing crease.

Step 8

Repeat on all flaps. They will overlap.

Step 9

Fold the corners on the closed side. Repeat on the other side, too. Then, unfold.

Step 10

Fold the flaps in the open side inside and up.

Step 11

Repeat on all flaps. The open side should look like that.

Step 12

Then come back to the closed corners and gently make sink folds.

Step 13

You can leave the petals closed or open them as shown.

Step 14 (optional)

You can make two of them and assemble together like a Febregé egg! You can fold and decorate the excess parts, too.
